“Yukon ho,” originates from my favorite comic book series, Calvin and Hobbes. Maybe it comes from somewhere else that I’m not aware of but this is where I get it from. I think it’s fitting because like Calvin and Hobbes, I am also going on a trip.

Actually, I am a six-year old who is leaving with her imaginary stuffed-tiger. We’re about to embark on an adventure far away from the parents.

No more of parental rules!
We’re heading for some snow!
Good riddance to those grown-up ghouls!
We’re leaving! Yukon Ho!

Mature of me, eh? This is an excerpt from the song. I love Calvin and Hobbes. It wasn’t until this weekend that I remembered how funny it was. It’s nice to revisit the books that helped form my childhood and formative teenage years.

In unrelated news, my eye has not stopped twitching all day. Have you ever had that? It’s not fun, I really pray it stops before I leave because I’m not going to be a fun passenger otherwise. In more unrelated news, I got this precious graduation card from one of my best friends. It made me weep and I love it a lot. Here’s a picture:

Happy Father’s Day everyone.
