23 Things I Did

  1. Learned how to make espresso drinks – latte art, debatable
  2. Received a job offer
  3. Visited 3 breweries in Houston (8th Wonder, St. Arnold and Karbach Brewing)
  4. Kept the fridge stocked with local beers
  5. Started drinking wine
  6. Coined “Supper Club”
  7. Made new friends! (Incl. a 4 year old who is more wise than I am)
  8. Read books (I’ve done a review on a handful of them on this blog)
  9. Got to be part of “The Crew” at ACL 2015
  10. Attended my first craft beer festival
  11. Started running, again
  12. Discovered lots of bakeries in Houston (B&B Donuts, Slow Dough, Fluff Bake Bar, Hugs ‘n’ Donuts, )
  13. Waited in line for baked goods
  14. Traveled to Portland, OR – hiked Multnomah Falls and walked on Cannon Beach
  15. Traveled to San Diego, CA – experienced a Damata Halloween
  16. Reunited with family I hadn’t seen in a LONG TIME
  17. Stayed at a friend’s ranch – saw wildlife, used a flamethrower
  18. Attended the 2015 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival – loved Magazine St.
  19. Participated in something we called, “Brand Camp”
  20. Bought a new car – and named him “Carl”
  21. Experienced my most embarrassing moment of my life, ever
  22. Went and saw The Menil Collection
  23. Cook Asian foods with my brother

Twenty-three was a huge transitional year, and I have a feeling that it’s not over. Adulting is hard, y’all. Thanks for being a part of this journey, listening to me complain about various things and celebrating odd things. Let’s go, twenty-four!
